About Me
Aloha 🌺
My name is Joli Johnston Poster. I’m a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and Foundation Training Instructor, born and raised on the North Shore of Oʻahu.
I grew up surfing and living close to the ocean — but my deeper relationship with health began in my early 20s when I started experiencing mystery food allergies, gut issues, PCOS, and symptoms of early-onset autoimmune disease. For nearly a decade, I went from doctor to doctor and book to book searching for answers. What I came to understand through that process is this: doctors and practitioners absolutely have their place, but true healing happens in the everyday. In what you eat. How you move. How you sleep. The products you bring into your home. The way you manage stress.
Long before I found a functional medicine doctor who helped identify the root cause of my symptoms, I had already done 90% of the work by radically cleaning up my habits and environment. Today, I’m grateful to say I’ve healed from conditions I was once told were lifelong.
That personal transformation lit a fire in me — but my deeper calling was shaped during my 13 years as a Special Education Preschool Teacher. Every day I worked closely with children navigating behavioral, developmental, and communication challenges. I began tracking their meals alongside their behaviors and saw something undeniable: the majority of these keiki were eating highly processed foods packed with refined sugars, artificial dyes, and preservatives — and there was a direct correlation between what they consumed and how they functioned.
Their parents weren’t neglectful. They simply weren’t informed.
The more I learned, the more I felt a kind of righteous urgency. We are in an epidemic of chronic illness and developmental challenges — and the health of our children is inseparable from the health of the mother. Her nourishment before conception. Her mineral status. Her stress levels. Her environment during pregnancy. Her recovery postpartum. What she feeds herself and her child.
